Welcome to The City of Walnut Grove’s website. Our goal is that you will be served by this site just as if you walked into our City Hall/Welcome Center located at 2581 Leone Avenue (Hwy. 81) in Walnut Grove, GA. We want our site to be attractive, interesting, and especially informative and helpful. On the site, you can read a bit about our history, get an idea of things of interest in and around our town, view our ordinances, and find registration forms with just a click or two of your mouse.

“We are on the way!”

Yes, we are on the way to a number of popular destinations like Athens, Atlanta, Conyers, Monroe, and others. But we are also on the way to becoming a destination as well. In the fall of 2009, we welcomed the opening of Walnut Grove High School and the dedication and official opening of the new Walnut Grove Parkway. The library has been up and running and getting busier every day. As of late 2017, we are working on the connection to our new wastewater reclamation facility by the new Walton County Fire Station on Highway 81. We are awaiting new businesses and homes to connect to the facility and look forward to serving Walnut Grove and the surrounding unincorporated Walton County.

We have several new businesses joining us in Walnut Grove and are anxious to see who turns up next to share with us in our community.

These are but a few of the exciting things happening in our City, and they are only a part of the reason we are the “Crossroads to Tomorrow.”
